As anyone interested in the New York City Public School system knows, on January 27th, 2010 the NYC Board of Education voted to close 19 public schools throughout the city, citing poor performance as the main reason for the school closures.
In our continuing effort to promote transparency, Big Apple Ed wanted to make it easy for interested parties to see how these schools were performing (according to NYC DOE data), and compare the schools that are closing to similar schools that will remain open.
